Issues with FRx

At this point, I'm basically keeping this blog for my own notes.

Last Friday, Finance ran into an issue with Microsoft FRx which basically prevented them from doing anything.  When attempting to login to Report Designer, they would see the message "OFSI Server is not Available".

As it turns out, the source of the problem was the fact that, when you went into Company --> Information and looked at any of the companies, the only thing available under "Accounting System" was "FRx Demo General "Ledger".

Although I wasn't completely sure how this happened, it seems that a setting in the FRx\SysData\ActSys32.mdb file was changed.  The line for "Great Plains - SQL Server\MSDE" was disabled and needed to be re-enabled.  Once that was saved, I was able to change the settings back to what they should have been in the Companies and have everything work properly.

Why I support Bernie Sanders
